Ukulele Curriculum for Music Teachers: Elementary thru Adult
Ignite Your Music Program with Ukulele!
Lesson Materials, Teacher Resources & More
Hello, I'm Kevin Carroll! I want to help you discover the incredible possibilities of ukulele as a musical instrument in your music classroom, after school program or ukulele group. If you want to know more about me and my background click HERE.
Whether you are starting a ukulele program from scratch or just wanting some more juicy ideas to help students connect with music, there some useful tools for you here. I have trained ukulele teachers (pictured at left at Ukulele Teacher Summit 2019) and taught in classrooms from pre-K through high school for well over a decade. During this time I have created hundreds of arrangements for students. I have created materials with standard notation and/or tablature, in high-G and low-G tuning (recommended) in styles ranging from all periods of Classical to Blues to Country to Rock to Jazz to Celtic, African and beyond. I've created solo arrangements along with differentiated duets, trios, quartets and more. Many arrangements even include bass.
I am also offering Ukulele Curriculum for all ages by the semester. Packages includes your choice of pdfs, mp3s, observation notes, day/week visitation, guest instruction, arrangements and more. Inquire HERE if interested. I can provide bulk discounts for classroom ukulele sets, too.
Let me know what you need and I will aim to help you ignite your school's music program with UKULELE!
Testimonials
“Introducing the Ukulele Curriculum at Pine Eagle has been a truly positive and rewarding experience for everyone involved. Mr. Carroll, who spent a week with the students to introduce the ukulele approach and materials, brought a lot of energy and passion to the program. His engaging teaching style and enthusiasm for music really helped spark excitement among the students. The curriculum itself has been easy for students to connect with, making learning to play the ukulele fun and approachable. It’s been exciting to see how well the materials have worked across all grade levels, from third through 12th grade, giving every student the chance to explore music in a hands-on, creative way. The students at Pine Eagle have shown amazing growth and enthusiasm since starting the ukulele program. From the younger third graders to the high school seniors, everyone has been actively engaged and excited to learn. Mr. Carroll’s introduction to the program really set a positive tone, and students quickly picked up on that energy. It’s been incredible to watch their confidence grow as they learned to read music and play together. Many students who were shy about performing have become more comfortable expressing themselves through music. The ukulele has offered them a fun, creative outlet, and their progress has been noticeable in a short amount of time. ....the ukulele program has definitely helped build support and excitement for music at Pine Eagle. Teachers and staff have noticed how much the students are enjoying the program and have been supportive of its continued growth. Parents have shared positive feedback, saying how happy they are to see their kids so engaged with music. Even the local community has shown interest, with some looking forward to seeing what the students will do next. Mr. Carroll’s week with the students left a lasting impression, and his efforts to introduce the program have truly helped create a stronger appreciation for music throughout the school. ” - Chris D.
